Customer Service, Account Manager – Apprenticeship

Location: Birchwood, Warrington (WA3)

Excellent starting apprenticeship salary of £9000.00, progressing to £16,000+ upon successful completion of your apprenticeship.

Full time 37.5 hours per week – immediate start

Achieve NVQ level 2 or 3 in customer service dependent upon your GCSE results

Shift pattern rota between Monday and Thursday 9am–8pm, Friday 9am–5pm and rota Saturdays 9am–1pm

As a member of our Customer Services Team you will contribute towards delivering the best possible outcomes for our customers, whilst enjoying great training, experiencing new things, being a part of a close-knit team and growing in confidence all the time.

As an Apprentice Account Manager, you will be placed onto a quarterly training development plan until your apprenticeship is complete. This will involve new tasks being introduced every quarter to develop your skills so that you can become a competent Account Manager, receiving quarterly pay reviews with the opportunity to earn up to £6.25 per hour in your final quarter.

About you

Your journey will begin with an induction week introducing you into the team, who are united in living our values, and whose primary focus is looking after our customers' best interests. You will need to have a real desire for developing yourself and learning, and be committed to completing your apprenticeship.

You will begin your apprenticeship with tasks such as processing client correspondence, conversing with customers via email and booking appointments over the phone. As you gain confidence throughout the course, you will be introduced to more complex tasks such as courtesy calls, answering queries, logging feedback, completing welcome calls etc. Support will always be on hand throughout your journey and, eventually, you will have your own personal portfolio of clients and can begin putting all of your professional training into practise, having the opportunity to develop into other positions within Angel Advance.


Creditor Liaison Officer

Location: Birchwood, Warrington (WA3)

£12-14,650 Per annum with salary reviews annually.

Full training and induction will be provided with further coaching and support throughout.

Full time 37.5 hours per week – immediate start

Shift Pattern: Mon-Friday between 9am - 5pm.

Delivering the best possible outcomes for customers is at the core of our business. Working as part of a close-knit team you will be responsible for working with a wide range of creditors and third parties and discussing our clients' debt management plans. Your days will be split across a range of duties such as working on inbound/outbound post, emails and calls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building and managing relationships with creditors, working with them to achieve the best outcome for both the customer and creditor
  • Liaising with creditors to negotiate repayment offers on behalf of customers.
  • Negotiating the reduction of interest charges and other fees on behalf of customers
  • Processing customer information i.e. sharing relevant information with creditors to ensure the fair treatment of the customer, whilst observing all Data Protection obligations
  • Completing administration jobs such as generating letters and processing inbound post
  • Answering creditor queries
  • Managing your own workload to ensure that all KPIs are achieved each month
  • Ensuring that you meet and maintain Angel Advance’s high quality standards at all times
  • Completing additional tasks at the request of the management team

Key responsibilities

  • Managing a personal portfolio of customers
  • Ensuring Data Protection Act principles are observed at all times
  • Completing welcome calls, courtesy calls and reviews
  • Ensure accurate information and reliable advice is given at all times throughout the customer's journey
  • Dealing with high volumes of calls from customers and creditors
  • Liaising with other teams including Creditor Liaison and Financial Solutions
  • Retention of customers
  • Processing correspondence
  • Processing payments and handling payment information
  • Hitting daily and monthly KPI targets
  • Completing extra duties at the request of the management team

About you

As an Account Manager, you will use your first class call-handling skills and knowledge to deal with customers in a professional, efficient and thorough manner. One of our core values is to be approachable, so we expect you to be an outgoing, confident and caring individual who has a drive to learn and develop their skills. Support will always be on hand, but it is essential that you have had experience in a Customer Service environment for at least 1 year, and have liaised with the general public using a variety of contact methods.

Due to the various contact methods preferred by our customers, you will need to have excellent written communication skills; as a minimum, English (language) GCSE grade C or above. You must be able to consistently deliver exceptional standards of service to customers and have high-quality organisational and self-management skills.


Financial Solutions - Debt Advisor

Location: Birchwood, Warrington (WA3)

Excellent starting salary of £19-21k plus performance bonus

Full time 37.5 hours per week – immediate start

Key responsibilities

  • Completing full assessments of customers’ circumstances and financial situation, and identifying suitable solutions
  • Providing information to customers about available solutions, and advice about the most suitable option

  • Advising on and managing the process of partial settlements & full and final payments where clients have received windfalls
  • Ensuring that all information given is clear, fair and not misleading and that all advice given is in the best interests of the customer and will generate the best outcome for them
  • Processing consumer/customer information whilst observing all data protection obligations
  • Completing administration jobs such as generating letters and processing inbound post relating to debt advice
  • Processing payments and handling payment information where relevant
  • Answering queries, logging feedback and identifying, logging and resolving complaints
  • Managing your own workload to ensure that all KPIs are achieved each month
  • Ensuring that you meet and maintain Angel Advance’s high quality standards at all times
  • Completing additional tasks at the request of the Management Team

About you

You will be customer focused with a true passion for delivering excellent customer outcomes. You must have the ability to build relationships and to communicate in a positive, professional and confident manner, both with prospective customers and internally. We require at least 1 years' experience and knowledge of working in debt management or personal insolvency, completing full assessments of customers’ accounts and advising customers about debt solutions.
